Romantic stay in Singapore

My wife and I are spending two nights (by our selves) in Singapore after being in Hong Kong for 6 nights and KL for 3. We are looking for something romantic yet we would like to see a bit of Singapore in the short time we have there., Not so much shopping but museums etc. Any suggestions , Thanks

Romantic stay in Singapore

We stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore and loved it. Remote, but convenient and comfortable. Easy to get around and well located.

Romantic stay in Singapore

Hm...romantic is quite subjective...I know my husband and I have different ideas on that! Also not sure of your budget range?

Another area to try is the city hall area. Raffles Hotel (romantic, because I like the architecture), Carlton, Ritz, etc. You are within walking distance to the Peranakan Museum, Art Museum, national Museum, Toy Museum, not too far from the Asian Civilisations Museum, the Chinatown Heritage Centre (also has a museum there - quite interesting though it got slammed yesterday in the press for its poor English in some explanations), Philatelic Museum...the list goes on.

Thanks for the tips, Romantic as in quite and peaceful .

Hi Greenhide,

As per recommended, the shangrila is an elegant romantic hotel nestled in the Orchard District... albeit a little inaccessible in terms of location.

Another quiet and romantic hotel will be the Sentosa Resort and Spa nestled in Sentosa Island.

You could also consider the Ritz Carlton. They have this high floor room where the bath tub is overlooking the big window and you could overlook the beautiful citylights. It is located in the Central Area near to shopping malls, Mrt and the Esplanade. However, it still gets to enjoy quietness as it is quite secluded compared to hotels like Pan Pac and Marina Mandarin.

YOu could visit the Chinatown Heritage Museum, the Peranankan Museum, the Asian Civilisation Museum, th Fort Siloso in sentosa, the Malay Heritage Museum... there are so many in Sg... you%26#39;ll be spoilt for choice.

Cheers,

Suying

if u want a boutique hotel, I would recommend Naumi (i find scarlet%26#39;s rooms too small and not as convenient a location)

I assumed since one is in KL, one would go for mandarin oriental or the likes (city hotels) and same in HK.

So I would suggest u enjoy unique properties like Naumi, Fullerton or Goodwood Park.

good luck
