Day trip to KL, (Possible?)

I will be in Singapore for 3 days and was wondering what the possibility of a day trip to KL, to see the Petronas was.

I saw Transtar was recommended for travel, but would there be enough time to make this a worthwhile trip?

Day trip to KL, (Possible?)

I%26#39;d reccomend taking the overnight sleeper train to get you into KL before 8am. It leaves at around 10pm the night before from Singapore, so it save you 1 nights hotel accomadation. You can take a coach back from KL leaving at around 2pm to get you into Singapore in the early evening.

Day trip to KL, (Possible?)

If you want a day trip to Kl i think its better to fly. you can catch the the first flight and copme back on the last flight.

Should you decide to fly, just know that both the low-cost terminal (Air Asia and Tiger Airways) and the main airport (Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines) is 75km away from downtown KL. A cab ride will take 50 mins and cost approx RM80.

If you take the executive coach (5 hour journey), try Aeroline (www.aeroline.com.my) or Odyssey (www.odysseynow.com.my) ... both of which stop and pick-up directly across the Petronas Twin Towers (at Avenue K for Odyssey and Corus Hotel for Aeroline). Both buses have personal video screens as well as cabin service (they serve decent meals and beverages).

it%26#39;s possible but it wouldn%26#39;t be fun at all. either by flight or coach ride, it%26#39;ll take almost 5 to 6 hrs just to get there and another 5 to 6 hours to return to Singapore. although the flight is only 45 mins, you would need to check in an hour or two earlier, about 20 to 30 mins to reach Changi Airport, and another 45 to 60 mins to get to where the action is in K. L. itself.

call me a wimp but i wouldn%26#39;t want to take the overnight coaches, too many accidents lately. the speed the coaches are driven at night and day is a world of difference. btw, do remember to get travel insurance.

oh what about traveling by overnight sleeper train, it is safe???

Hi theya70

Travel by sleeper train is very safe but at time the arrival time is very erratic.

You can book ticket online but need to registered first prior to booking

thanks leopang for the info.
