price range can vary depending on the type of restaurant. but i would recommend to get the hawker experience. good meals can be for even less than 10SGD. an AC version of hawker centers will be the food courts in the malls. slightly higher but nevertheless good! food is just veryyyyyyy good in singapore! :)

Thanks for that

Yeah I%26#39;m really looking forward to the food!

can you recommend any good places that are close by to the hotel?

Hi you are so lucky to stay at the Amara.

There is an airconditioned food court (in the linked mall) just near your hotel and in addition there are the traditional hawker center closeby your hotel too. Many small cafe and pubs is near within your throw too. If you are willing to pay a little, go try the Peranakan food cafe, The Blue Ginger, housed in the old shophouse style and they have beautiful traditional cooking there.

Food price can range from S$2.50 to %26#39;the sky is your limit%26#39; for main dish.

Hv fun.

opposite your hotel walk along the road to the right there%26#39;s a hawker food centre nearby range between S$2.50 - S$10.

In amara hotel 2nd floor there is a famous thai restaurant ';Thanying';, the food there is good but is quite ex, S$20-100 per person depending on the dishes u order

Amara hotel is just located on the border of many good food place, some are as follow:

The Fried Kway Teow is really yummy, as the lady fried it when U order %26amp; it is not oily at all. The best part is, she used thin flat rice noodles with the yellow noodles (instead of the usual wide Flat Noodles). And if U dun like cockles, U can alway say no cockles but with prawn.

The Hakkan Rong Xin Yong Tau Foo, is one stall that U need to wait for atleast 30-45min on average, if U place Ur order after 12noon on weekday. (I normally there before 11.30 %26amp; the wait is only 5min.)

There is this Little shop (below those apartment, opposite ur hotel, call Chocolat N Spice) that sell delicious Banana %26amp; walnut Muffin %26amp; many other flavors.

If it is raining, the Mall connect to the Hotel have some delicious food outlet, like the Turkish Kerbah place (Opposite Subway)%26amp; a Cinnamon Roll cafe with a Japanese restaurant, a Old Chang Kee %26amp; a Burger King too. Not forgetting the Western restaurant at the corner next to the Turkish Kerbah place.

Otherwise, as others mention, the food court on the 5th floor of the mall, is another good alternative, throu only a few stall make the mark of providing reasonable nice food; like: the Fishball noodle, The Handmade Noodle stall %26amp; nice ice coffee at the coffee stall %26amp; the Yong Tau Foo Stall on the other corner near the Korea Stall.

And if like to have a good char Siew Rice or Roast pork rice, u can check out a Food Court at Anson house (Behind Hotel on Enggor St), go after 12noon %26amp; U will see a long Q there, it is right behind the fresh Fruit stall - sorrie me forget the name).

The Amoy food centre is also about 7min walk from your hotel, on Amoy Street. (With the map above, Amoy Street is just on ur top right %26amp; the food centre is in that Building call MND Annexe B (After Telok Ayer Park).

If U need more choice, Maxwell Food centre is just about 10min walk away (On ur way to Chinatown).

This food centre is just after the URA Building. (behind Amoy Street food centre).

IMO, Blue Ginger is really over rated %26amp; their food are overloaded with sugar.....^__^......

U can definitely just pay for room without breakfast %26amp; enjoy wat is around U.

Have a good time.
