Malacca for culture - by bus.
KL for nightlife - bus is best for the environment. :)
Sarawak - Kuching and beyond for outdoor adventures - by air.
suggestions for malaysia trip fro singapore
Hi, you can take cheap luxury bus from Singapore to various parts of West Malaysia. I suggest a 2 days stop in Malacca (for historical attractions), a 3 days stop in KL (for city tour) to do sidetrips to Genting Highland (theme park) and Sunway Lagoon (swimming), etc., a stop in Ipoh (food) as well as sidetrip to Cameron Highland (farms), and finally a 3 days stop in Penang (historical sites) and a daytrip to Langkawi Island (sun and beach) by ferry. If you are going for beach and resort, there are also Club Med, Toman Island, etc. on the East coast of West Malaysia, but these will be closed during the Monsoon period. Sabah and Sarawak are in East Malaysia which can only be reached by plane. Those are famous for caves and high mountains.
