hotel in clarke quay

i am looking for a nice clean hotel close by to the clarke quay for 5 nights , i was told to choose swissotel , but is it worth the price of 250 SD per night? or anyone can recommend a similar hotel with a better rate in that area?a small but clean hotel still can be of my ineterst.

why dont u try the Chinatown area hotels (walkable to Clark Quay) ?

Try the Furama (both would be fine, btw, in SIN, i like this chain better than the Swissotel M. C)

Also, why dont u look at Grand Copthorne Waterfront ? It may not be located right by Clark Quay (in the neighborhood) but u can take the ferry (direct from hotel) or a quick/cheap cab ride there. It is close enough to Chinatown that if u enjoy walking, it is an ok walk or take their shuttle. They r currently running a stay 3 nights and get 15% off.

Try Robertson Quay Hotel also situated in that area, a little smaller in size but I think its worth it. check out yourself the below site

we going to stay at swiss merchant court,,, anyone disagree with service there? or other stuff to avoid?

we stayed at Fraser Place Robertson Walk, nice spot and close to Clarke Quay. Apartment living and good rates.

Have stayed at the Merchant Court a few times, although not recently. It was always fantastic, rooms a decend size, the pool area is gorgeous, and you could just walk across the footbridge to Clarke Quay.

I stayed at SMC in 2006 so info maybe not up-to-date about the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay as I was given a big, quiet and clean room. Very comfortable !

The location was also very good:

- Clarke Quay mrt station is right behind the hotel entrance.

- Clarke Quay restaurants are less than 5 min-walk.
