Shangri La Not as nice as it seems?

We had almost decided to book the Shangri La hotel for a 3 night stopover with our 3 kids.

We wanted to pamper us, and also the pool area looks wonderful.

Now after reading reviews, I dont know.....

It seems quite worn down.

(Maybe the garden wing has newly renovated rooms?)

Also the location, seems quite far to wlk to Orchard Rd, MRT, etc

What do you think?

Garden wing hasnt been renovated like Tower wing did. If u dont think you will enjoy that, u can consider 4 Seasons or St. Regis if u want some pampering.
