Pan Pacific Serviced Suites or Shangri-La's apartments ???

Anyone stayed at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites or Shangri-La%26#39;s apartments ?? Which place is best? I want a NICE place and close to the city...we will be staying in Singapore during 1 week in Jan....so I need to make up my mind soon;)

Pan Pacific Services Suites is on Orchard road, next Somerset MRT station: streetdirectory.com/asia_travel/…

As Orchard road is similar to the ';Champs-Elysées'; in Singapore, so you%26#39;ll be right in the ';city'; :)

Room wise, they are similar, the the PanPacific is fairly new so the rooms may be fresher. PanPacific is much better located (unless you take taxi%26#39;s in which case it doesn%26#39;t really matter). Shangrila of course has significantly better facilities which is provieded by the neighbouring hotel itself, you get all the facilities of the regular hotel guests.

No I havae not left yet but will be there in 2 days! Thank you all for your input. I have booked the Pan Pacific since I like new, fresh apaprtments :) I will write a review after we been there.

I would pick PPSS too coz I am big on bathrooms and I like the one in PPSS as it is more updated and modern compared to the classic Shang%26#39;s luxury style of last decade. It is still nice at the Shang but it cant beat the newer fresher looks of clean chrome and glass (my own personal preference).

Also, I prefer the contemporary design when comparing it to the Shang%26#39;s taste in luxury homey feel. Even bed linen (cover) is not my choice (I am not big on flowery prints).

Anyways, PPSS is definitely more up to date than the Shang Apt.
