2 weeks in Singapore with 6 and 4 yr old

We will be travelling to Singapore in a months time and staying there for two weeks. Any recommendations on what we should do to entertain the two boys - aged 6 and 4. We already have the Zoo, Night Safari, Sentosa and Singapore Wheel on the list!

We%26#39;d like to do Raffles - is it suitable for children?

Any advice gratefully received

Thanks

Definitely as mentioned in the previous post, Jurong Bird Park (one of my own faves). It might also be fun for you to visit the Kranji Countryside http://www.kranjicountryside.com/. You can visit Bollywood Veggies, for example, and see some tropical fruit trees and crops, and dine on local fare at their Poison Ivy cafe.

My kids love the ducktour around the city and Singapore river. Check out http://www.ducktours.com.sg

There is a three park hopper tickets for zoo, night safari and jurong bird park. Check out http://www.zoo.com.sg

You also can do shopping mall hoppings if your kids love shopping. Almost every town has 1 or more shopping malls.

Enjoy the food in Singapore too. You can visit places like Lau Pa Sat, Chinatown, Little India, as well as foodcourts in the malls.

There are also many parks and gardens that the boys can run and roam about, such as botanic garden, Pasir Ris Park, Labrador Park, etc.

The beach at East Coast park and swimming pools at your hotel or public pools in each town can also be great place to get away from the afternoon heat for your kids and you.

Anyway, that%26#39;s what my kids liked to do when they are 4 and 6 yrs old three years ago. Hope this helps.

Our son was five on our first time in Singapore and we enjoyed afternoon tea at Raffles. My son and I had a great rota for shopping, two shops for me then one for him. Worked a treat! Loved our trip to Sentosa, even went on the cable car and I am really bad with heights but our son loved it.There is loads for your boys to do there. We went on the night safari and our day at Singapore Discovery Centre was fab but that was a later trip when he was eight, so I am not sure for a six and four year old on that outing.

As mentioned in the earlier post, most of the restaurants at Raffles welcome children, as long as they%26#39;re well behaved!

The lunch buffets and afternoon tea are a safe bet. It%26#39;s enjoyable just to walk the premises and window shop or stop for a homemade ice cream at the Raffles Creamery in the courtyard.

If your kids just need to run around, take them to the Botanical Gardens. There are some nice wide open spaces for a game of tag or playing ball. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. You can usually find a shady spot, but best to visit morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat.

Aside from those mentioned above, you can also take a cable car ride at Mount Faber, or hot air balloon at the DHL Balloon Ride.
