Best Place to Stay in Singapore

I am going to be in Singapore for about 10 days in September. The highlight of the trip will be watching the Singapore Grand Prix. I am tryin to find the best 3-4 star hotel to stay in for the trip. The marina bay area seems to be the priciest, but is it the best location???

Any help would be great!

Best Place to Stay in Singapore

Best location for Grand Prix or just in general ? Marina/Suntec/Raffles City area may be the best location.

If not, u r only one stop away if u stay at Bugis. SIN is a small city, u can get around really easily. Dont fret too much if u stay a bit further.

Good Luck

PS. Try ParkRoyal on Beach, their sister hotel is further away but what a great job on their renovation, it is almost a new hotel !

Best Place to Stay in Singapore

Just back from Singapore and I stayed in two locations: City Hall and Orchard Rd. In my opinion City Hall was fantastic. We stayed at the most lovely place - not too expensive and I thoroughly recommend it - Grand Park Plaza City Hall. From here you have choice of two rail staions within 5 mins walk, it takes about 10 mins to get to the Esplanade, Boat Quay and Clarke Quay and the historical precincts. Raffles and Chimes are nearby. Wnat more can you ask for in location. A great place to shop nearby is The Central at Clarke Quay

Eu Tong Sen Street. More modern than most on offer in orchard Rd.

At this hotel we had a lovely buffet breakfast and thanks to Sabrina a great coffee every morning. The hotel has a lovely lobby, not ostentatious - surrounded by internal heritage shophouses (partially being renovated but of no consequence to guests). What a reat location. The hotel hasn%26#39;t the greatest views though but you are paying for good quality nontheless.

And their website if you are interested is www.parkhotelgroup.com/Default.aspx鈥?/a>
