Raffles Grill

My wife and I are stopping over in Singapore on the first day of our honeymoon in the Maldives and I have decided to surprise her with lunch at Raffles Grill. Can someone give me an idea of the prices I can expect?

Raffles Grill

Have you checked out their website? We considered going for afternoon tea and it does give the price on the website. If you don%26#39;t get any responses You could always ask them to send you a menu.

Raffles Grill

The Grill menu isnt held on their website....your best option is to ask for a sample menu to be emailed.

One reason why u cant get a menu is coz they dont have a fixed one. Dont be surprised that there is an international chef in house for a week or two and that the menu is of his/her specialty.

Every time I am there, it is always different except one thing, they offer a fixed priced menu for about US$125 (or thereabouts I dont recall the exact amount but definitely more than US$100). This is usually a 5 to 7 course set meal (from appetizers to dessert).

I love lamb so tend to order that if it is available, cost is usually US$30 price range. Anyways, have never been there for lunch so I am not sure what they offer but I would assumed it will be lighter food and usual lunch items like ahi tuna salad, etc and price is always better for lunch menu.

Like others had mentioned, u can ask for the menu for the date u r going to be in town.

Congrats on your union and enjoy SIN !

Stayed at raffles 4 weeks ago cost £1450 for 2 nights with snacks and drinks. We was going to eat at the grill but did not get round to it. The food looked 1st class. IT WILL COST A LOT.Drinks about £11 a go. Has it is your honeymoon and if you can a afford it, why not.

What an earth did you get for your money for that rate. Did that include breakfast, we have always wanted to stay at Raffles but could not justify that kind of costs, we have eaten in the Grill Room and the Tiffin Room at the Indian buffet and had many a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar but didn%26#39;t realise it was so expensive to stay there.

It cost about £500 a night room only, but it was a nice room with tiffin thrown in. The rest was drinks and a snacks in the long bar.Plus we got the Raffles car to the airport.I think rooms start at £300 per night. My wife thinks it was worth it but I am still thinking about it.

We used to stay at the Sheraton for around £130.00 a night three of us, bed %26amp; breakfast, all our laundry, free flowing champagne nibbles the whole works (3 years ago) now we have resulted to the new Ibis hotel room only for around £80.00 a night, cannot justify the prices the hotels are asking per night for these luxuries. Hopefully they will see sense, we have been to Singapore every year for the last 10, but unfortunately this maybe the last. We love the country but as you know holidays have to be value for money, great you had the opportunity to stay at Raffles.

staying at Raffles was a one off. On the way home we stayed at the Ibis Hong Kong £171 for 3 nights.

Hi Ian,

I also think the price at Raffles is a bit too stretched. Given that kind of price, i would rather place myself in the hands of St Regis.

I%26#39;ve tried Raffles Grill and thought it was nothing really fantastic. Didnt leave much impression for me. So you actually didnt miss much. I forgot how much I spent but it%26#39;s an estimate of about S$200-S$300 for two pax.

As for Deano, you might want to check out restaurants in St Regis (more romantic ambience), The Cliff at Sentosa Resort and Spa, the Blu at Shangri La etc, San Marco at The Fullerton Hotel (overlooking the sea and the esplanade-perfect romantic view), le Saint Geran at the Fullerton Boat House (unique concept and overlooking the sea and esplanade also) and some other restaurants along the One Fullerton area. These are all romantic areas to consider with quality food.

Hope this helps.
