I believe that Chinese New Year falls on January 26th this year. Is this correct? What sort of celebrations are happening in Singapore?
My husband will be there on the 26th, but I won%26#39;t be in Singapore until February 2nd. Is there anything still going on when I am in town?
Thanks in advance!

Chinese New YearThanks for the link. It looks like there are several activities leading up to the 26th, but nothing after. At least my husband will get to enjoy the festivities.
The River HongBao 2009 festivities start from 24-Jan til 8-Feb at the Esplanade area. Do make a visit.
Unfortunately, the Chinatown bazaar, which is happening now, ends on the eve of Chinese New Year (26-Jan).
Explore this the Singapore%26#39;s Tourism Board official Chinese New Year website: http://www.visitsingapore.com/cny
Chingay Parade happens at the end of Jan%26#39;09, see this website ---%26gt; http://www.chingay.org.sg
It tends to be fairly quiet in the city on 26-Jan. It is about 50% back to business on 27-Jan.
