Singspore Night Safari

This was the one thing we were looking forward to on our three day Singapore stopover and it ended up being the only disappointment. We went on the flyer, duck/hippo tour, shopped on Orchard Rd, visted Clarke Quay, ate at Chinatown. All good, however the night safari was the biggest waste of time and money. We found it so overcommercialised it was almost painful. The animal show was pathetic - too much talking and no animals (the one%26#39;s that bothered to come out didn%26#39;t do what they were trained to do). The train ride to see animals in their natural habitat was also pathetic. Hardly any animals to see and the guide was trying to talk in an American accent...and talk....she never shut up - no wonder the animals were hiding. We walked some of it to get her voice out of our heads and still couldn%26#39;t see many animals. To top it off my son wanted a drink and the shop wanted $9SG for a small apple juice!!A beer was about $15SG. Complete rip-off and wouldn%26#39;t recommend it to anyone. Other than that we loved Singapore.

yah... yah...

i agree 100% with everything you say.

i always never recommend to anyone who wants to go there bcos it is actually a NIGHT ZOO.

I didn%26#39;t went to the restraurants because they looked for ';tourist'; too much. But I enjoyed walking and watching the animals :)

wow! we had a great time at the night safari. yes there were plenty of people there but the animal show that we saw was imformative and interesting. the train ride was fun. the guide talked alot, but again very imformative and we saw plenty of animals in their habitats.

we didn%26#39;t go into any of the resturants as they usually are expensive wherever there is a captive audiance.

well each to their own i suppose. we enjoyed our visit and i would still reccommend it to anyone going to singapore.

have fun. daz.

we had a great time at the night safari. We got to the zoo about 2.00p.m and went to the zoo first then had dinner around 6.30 and then went on the night safari. It was a different experience to the zoo. If you could only do one thing I would still rather do the zoo than the night safari.
