Short stay in Singapore..

Hi and thx in advance for those who can help me with this query ...

I will be in Singapore for one weekend in January and wondered if anyone can tell me a few *must-see* things ...

I will be spending the week on Batam Island (ok I know its an industrial place but friend combining work/holiday)

ANY information what-so-ever would be a fantastic help .. as now we havent even booked accom.. hopefully there are some 3 star hotels in Singapore or even good Hostels ???

Cant help you with the hotels. But here are some places most tourists like to go:

1. Singapore Zoo

2. Orchard (Shopping)

3. Bugis (Shopping)

4. Sentosa - But since you are only here for the weekend, you may not have enough time for this. Maybe just half a day?
