Generally a taxi from the airport to downtown is probably a little more than SGD20. However, please note there will be surcharges added if you take a cab after midnight.
A cheaper option would be to take the MRT (mass rapid transport. equivalent to your London Underground). You would need to change trains though. It%26#39;s not a direct route. I believe the nearest station would be Clark Quay.
