what can we expect at bugis street
Yes, Clark Quay / Boat Quay for bars and restaurants although I found them a bit ';touristy';.
Bugis Street is a street martket, fun for me to stroll around on evening. Lively place for sure.

I didn%26#39;t experienced a lot of bars - next time I promise :p
Orchard rd., Clark Quay have casual pubs.
Have you been at Chijmes? At night it%26#39;s a relaxing place and somehow a romantic place although less casual.
here are some information about bars and pubs:

If you are going to the Bugis St area why not head to Blu Jaz Cafe (the ws blujaz.net)
Is only a couple of blocks from Bugis street, and the Bugis MRT.

hey. if your heading to clark quay you should try the reverse bungee jump located there. from up there you can see a bird%26#39;s-eye view for clarke quay - thats if you have the courage to open your eyes.
oh yeah..
for bugis st. definitely the bugis village which is the street shopping where you can bargain for you iteams. however the downfall is that it might get too pack. frin bugis street you can walk down to arab street or haji lane (all ard the same area) for lunch. they have good arab food and you can try the smoking sisha as well.

Hi Ally,
hope my msg didnt come too late. =)
Other alternatives for you to enjoy casual bars:
1) Sentosa Island- has quite a few good choices of casual beachside chillout places for drinking.
2) Dempsey Place - This is a new chillout place in Sg and very popular lately.
Bugis is not really the place for chillout drinks though and more for shopping and ethnic tours. But of course, that%26#39;s my personal take.
Clarke Quay and Boat Quay has changed quite alot, so it might just be a good idea for you to visit again. You might also want to take a peep at the river along the One Fullerton... very lovely place for chillout. It%26#39;s just opposite the Fullerton Hotel and 10mins walk from the Esplanade.
Hope you%26#39;ll have great fun.
Cheers,
Suying
thanks suying, your reply is appreciated
