Is the woeful value.....

............of the British pound, and other world currencies having a noticeable affect, at this time, on tourism in Singapore ? Alan.

Is the woeful value.....

The pound has gone down again today, the worst yet I think. I have just had a credit card statement in for my flights in SGD and I got 2 to the pound, it is making everything so much more expensive but hey ho I suppose there is nothing we can do but to go with it unless we cancel the holiday and I am so looking forward to it. Will have to try not to think about what we paid this time last year whilst we are there. It must be having a huge impact on tourism. Having been going to Singapore for years we have never worried about currency.

Is the woeful value.....

We go in about five weeks time 1st Mar. and this morning it is $207.00 to the G.B.P.. A couple of weeks ago it was as low as $203.00, but has since rallied and now sunk back. As you say %26#39;%26#39;Hay Ho%26#39;%26#39; we%26#39;ll just have to get on with it.

Last March we got $270-$275 to the the G.B.P.

We were in Singapore last February and I checked my credit card statement I got 2.9 at times and we were definitely getting that when we exchanged sterling in Singapore. As we are going to Thailand as well the Baht is as bad and sinking daily!!!!
