Where to stay

I%26#39;m looking at going to Singapore for 3 nights in October. I%26#39;ve been previously and stayed at the Carlton Hotel in Marina Bay. But I%26#39;m looking at staying elsewhere as the prices for Carlton are a lot more expensive than what I remember.

I%26#39;m now looking at staying at either the Bayview Hotel or the Holiday Inn Atrium, however the Holiday Inn seems to have some bad reviews about it%26#39;s location.

Has anyone stayed at either of these two hotels to be able to advise which one is a more ideal place to stay?

Bayview is ok....or you can try Grand Plaza Park Hotel City Hall or Golden Landmark Hotel.

btw the time u arrive, there are a few other new hotels that would have opened so do a bit more research (coz for the price that Bayview is charging nowadays, there r other hotels in that price range).

PS. since u had been to SIN B4, u know the city being so small, as long as the hotel is nice, it doesnt matter that much where the hotel is located coz u can get around in a jiffy and cheaply in this city. HIA has a shuttle that takes u to the nearest MRT but I have to agree, HIA will not be on top of my list in that price range.

Also, not sure the price will apply to u in Oct but there is a promotional rate going on right now for the Quincy (really chic hotel right in town, opening next month - Feb 2009! Amazing rate for free wifi, club room access etc. Have to say I cant wait to check it out except that that infinity pool on the 11th floor is pretty cool but a bit scary (see thru glass so u can look down the side of the building !)
