shopping malls?

Okay i admit, i am not used to humid weather as I reside in %26#39;sunny%26#39; Scotland.

I do have a way of staying cool, visit air con places!

Can anyone point me in the right direction of visiting shopping malls, which ones would you recommend?

shopping malls?

Just go to Orchard Road, it%26#39;s mall heaven. You do have to exit into the humid air to get from one to another though ... but you can stop at coffee shops to buy ice-blended drinks!

shopping malls?

You should read the ';Singapore Shopping Districts guide'; - there%26#39;s plenty of info there... ( www.metropolasia.com/index2.php… )

Hi

We visited about ten malls and they all started to look the same with the same shops. We found Suntec City Mall the best for us.Mixed in with a trip to China Town,Arab Street and Little India for a good variety and they are all quite close.Try shopping at night. Most malls are open until 9.00 PM and there is all night shopping in Little India.Spend the afternoon in your hotel pool.

Suntec City is nice as malls go, and from City Hall MRT it%26#39;s an interesting walk through an underground tunnel lined with shops (I%26#39;m sure this has a name but can%26#39;t think of it for the life of me).

Orchard Road certainly, I personally like Heeren and Plaza Singapura.

There%26#39;s also Vivo at the Harbourfront which is worth a visit.

Whatever Singapore lacks, if anything at all, it%26#39;s certainly not shopping Malls. Orchard road, Vivo City, Sun-Tec, Mustafa%26#39;s in Little India, the place is crawling with them, as many time as I%26#39;ve been to Singapore I%26#39;ve not seen half of them, or anything like half.

So have fun, do some research and %26#39;%26#39;Take-Your-Pick%26#39;%26#39; the country is your lobster.

Here%26#39;s a sample of what%26#39;s available. Enjoy. Alan.

Hello Mujipor,

Yes, Singapore is packed with shopping malls. In fact, in almost every developed town of Singapore, you can find a shopping mall.

For Happynoodleboy: the underground link which you referred to is named at the City-Link. =)

Major Shopping Malls in Sg:

Orchard: Wisma Atria, Takashimaya, Heerens, Paragon (branded goods), Far East Shopping (funky clothes), Shaw Centre and CK Tangs.

City Hall: Suntec City, Raffles City Shopping and Marina Square. You can find the Arts Theatre here too named as The Esplanade. But I wouldnt recommend you to buy any souvenirs here as it is often overpriced. *esp the pushcarts*

Bugis: Parco, Junction 8, Bugis Street Market (funky clothes), Sim Lim Square (electronics), Sim Lim Tower (electronics).

Others: Plaza Singapura at Dhoby Ghaut, Vivocity near Sentosa, The Central at Clarke Quay.

These shopping malls, if you were to explore all, will take you a few good days. =)

I would have to agree Suntec City is a favourite of mine. Also if its too hot outside or raining, you can walk all the way back to Raffles City Shopping Ctr underground, via Citylink Mall and also check out Marina Square Shopping Ctr on the way if you wish. It%26#39;s all connected in air-conditioned comfort!

Depends on what you are looking for! I bought my TREO and Laptops from Sim Lim Square, this building is full of gadgets and you can even negotiate the prices down, and as far as I saw they is no fake items!

City Link!! Doh! Thanks for that Suying, I can sleep easier now. Anyway, it%26#39;s quite interesting and is almost like a little mall in its own right.
