dolphins
Hello,
Swimming with the dolphins there is quite expensive. Not sure how much time you actually get in the water with them.
I watched the pink dolphin show at the edge of the lagoon (this acticity was included in the price of my admission to underwater world). Not very thrilling. Being in the water with them might be fun.
hi,
I went once to the dolphin lagoon for the dolphin show. After the show I saw people in the water with the dolphins.
Was not really impressed but I think kids would love it.
btw also on Sentosa, you can dive with the sharks at Underwaterworld.
Swimming with the dolphins at Sentosa is fantastic - we did it in February last year. The cost then (not sure if it%26#39;s the same now) was S$150 per person, which worked out for us at about AUD$235 in total(mind you, the exchange rate then was very much in our favour!). Absolute bargain, we thought, for such a great experience - it lasts about 45 mins to an hour, you are divided up into small groups and then get to meet one of the dolphins, you are taught the correct way to approach and touch them, then you have some time interacting with the dolpin from the floating jetty, including the dolphin painting pictures for everyone (yes, they really do! AND you get to keep one), then it%26#39;s into the water for around 20 minutes or so, still in small groups, so each person gets plenty of chances to interact with the dolphins. You%26#39;re out in the middle of the lagoon for all this, and it%26#39;s pretty deep - as the finale, each person is towed into shore by one of the dolphins, and you have to hang on tight!
We thought it was fantastic, well worth every cent, and would do it again in a heartbeat. You get to do the Dolphin Experience before the Dolphin Lagoon opens to the public in the morning, which is great. Afterwards, you can watch the dolphin show.
The cost included the Dolphin Experience, an individual photo of each person with one of the dolphins, a t-shirt and entry to the Aquarium, so excellent value as far as we were concerned, and a wonderful experience not to be missed.
Their photographer takes a lot of other photos as well, which you can buy afterwards (we didn%26#39;t), but we were also able to give our own camera to one of the staff and they took lots of pictures for us as well, so we%26#39;ve got lots of great memories of our Dolphin Swim!
