Transit in Singapore

Hi Ann,

In response to your questions:

1. You do not need to clear cke tustoms. In fact, the transit hotel is on the ';air side'; of the airport, so it suits your situation perfectly.

2. If you only have hand luggage, I think you may be able to get your boarding passes at the transfer desk in the transit area. If you do have checked-in luggage, that is going to make it more complicated, because you have to collect your luggage from the ';outside'; of the transit/customs area.

The easiest thing to do would be to ring Qantas or jetstar and ask if they can check your baggage the whole way through. Non-budget carriers can do this, but not sure if you can with jetstar.

3. Departure tax should be included in your ticket price - not an add at the airport as in some countries.

hmmm... the answers provided by GWP isn%26#39;t right.

Here is my answers:

1) Yes, you need to re-check-in for your Jetstar Asia%26#39;s (flight code 3K) flight from SIN to PNH in the Departure Hall outside the transit area. Which means you have to check out of your transit hotel, clear immigration, retrieve your luggage from the Lost %26amp; Found, clear customs, go up 1 level to check-in.

2) You can%26#39;t. Unfortunately, Qantas does not provide connection to Jetstar Asia%26#39;s (3K) flights. They do provide connection to SELECTED Jetstar International%26#39;s (JQ) flights if they are booked as QF flights in one same booking.

3) Airport Departure Taxes have already been included in the price you paid for your e-airtickets.
