Which would you prefer?

Looking at booking the January sale at either the Hilton or Conrad. The deal seems good for both but just wondering about location as we have two kids and my elderly mother travelling with us?

BTW we are staying in Singapore over a weekend so trying to find a good weekend deal. The main criteria is a good pool and location. Have previously stayed at SMC and Holiday Inn Park View which were both fine with kids but can%26#39;t find any good deals at these hotels.

Go with Conrad....

there is everything there and especially you have kids and an elderly mum.... so much easy to ago around the huge shopping belt and can go to esplanade to take those pictures with the MERLION as well... haha... seriously... make no mistake about it

I vote for the Hilton on Orchard Road. If you want to be where the action is, it is right at your doorstep.The subway is just a 2 minute walk away. HOpe your kids get to enjoy breakfast with the orang utans at the zoo. We also loved the Night safari. The Bird Park was lots of fun too.

I second Conrad too. It%26#39;s so much newer than Hilton and the location is great even though it%26#39;s not Orchard Road. I find Hilton%26#39;s location and design abit claustrophobic in the midst of Orchard Road but Conrad has a spacious, breezy feel. Besides, Conrad%26#39;s pool is great(my brother held his wedding solemnization ceremony and reception next to Conrad%26#39;s pool).

Centre of the action/Orchard road - Hilton

Thanks for your help. I%26#39;m leaning towards the Conrad because we only have two days in Singapore this trip basically to break up the long trip to Europe. So we mainly will be hanging out around the pool and relaxing. It sounds like the pool is better at Conrad. We took the kids to Singapore for 10 days last year and so we have done all the kid things like the Zoo, Night Safari etc. And yes we have the requisite Merlion photo - beautiful! The kids do want to go back to Chinatown for dinner so could someone advise if we can catch the MRT from near the Conrad to Chinatown easily? Thanks again.

To China town from the Condrad, it will be a walk to the City Hall MRT may be 15 min or more with kids/eledery relative, train to Dhoby Ghaut, change to the North East Line and 2 stops to China town. It will be faster easier and probably cheaper by Taxi if your all going together though.
