Hotel with breakfast

Some hotels include breakfast, or offer it as an alternative. They seem to vary greatly in price, $14 to over $30 per person, although this may be because some are continental or buffet.

I have looked at the Crowne Plaza Changi, the Rendezvous, and the Intercontinental to name a few.

Are these a good deal, or is it just as easy to eat out if we only want a light continental type breakfast(and mainly the tea/coffee)

Thanks

If you are in the city area, go out round the corner of the hotels and you are likely to get a light breakfast (2 eggs, a piece of toast, and coffee) for around max S$3.

You may even get to try other local breakfast foods; rice porridge, rice noodle in soups etc for another S$3.

Not sure about the choices at the airport though.

Hotel with breakfast

I always go Room Only. Breakfasts of any kind are generally very expensive in hotels in Singapore and if you are in the city you are usually not that far from a Delifrance, a Toastbox, Ya Kun Kaya or similar to get as good at a significant fraction of typical hotel prices. I%26#39;d suggest that once you know where you intend to stay, find out whats nearby for breakfast options and beled by if and what is available to you as an alternative.

I’d say try breakfast at the hotel first morning, and try it outside the next. Thereafter stick to whatever worked for you.

I’m from the ‘eat breakfast outside’ school of thought. That way, as a tourist, you get to observe and understand the country for free, besides chomping on some great food at next to nothing. Wouldn’t recommend it for all countries, but Singapore definitely is a delight-breakfast, lunch or dinner !

If your hotel doesn%26#39;t provide complimentry breakfast, then I suggest going out to the coffee shops along the street or Ya Kun, Toast Box, and Wang cafe in shopping malls to try out the Kaya toast, half boiled eggs and tea/coffee.

It%26#39;s really delicious!
