Any advice on Rendezvous Hotel Singapore?

We are visiting Singapore for a friends wedding from 21 - 25 May and are considering staying at the Rendezvous Hotel in Singapore. I have lived in Singapore for work over the years but never really had to worry about the hotels. We are thinking about getting a Plaza Club room as the lounge area sounds somewhat appealing, even though we plan to spend as much time as possible out and about seeing the sights of Singapore.

Can anyone please advise of their experiences with this hotel, good or bad, and offer any suggestions that may make our short visit more enjoyable?

I think it%26#39;s a nice hotel. We liked our room fine, and the location is good too. We stayed there only once, and have tried to book it again and again over the last few years and it%26#39;s always fully booked!

There%26#39;s a Kopitiam food court just next door which is really convenient and the MRT is close by.

Has anyone stayed in both the Plaza Club level and the rest of the hotel that can comment on the differences?

We stayed at rendezvous for 4 nights, and the hotel is really nice.Location is all perfect.Dhobby Ghaut MRT station is just a 3-5 min away by walk.Hotel has got nice pool,Restaurant and if you dont feel like eating in the hotel then Kopitam next door is a good option.Room service was ok.The front desk staff was helpful.

I stayed there a few years ago. Great location, nice beakfast buffet, small but pleasant pool area. I found the beds very hard, and the little internet kiosk in the lobby charged a fortune. Bus stop right outside was handy to get around.
