Best Hawker areas in Singa
%26#39;%26#39;Best%26#39;%26#39; as has been suggested before is a relative term. Here are a list of the most popular, I%26#39;ve been to Singapore on many occasions and I%26#39;ve yet to eat at a %26#39;%26#39;bad%26#39;%26#39; hawker, though some are better than others. It%26#39;s all a matter of personal choice. Hope this helps. Alan.

Best Hawker areas in Singa
Normally when we talk about Hawker, it not much about the area but more of the food ^__^. Here%26#39;s a few thread that mention them:

If you need more, just use the magic word like: Hawker, food, best etc to search here.
I just did this Google Maps on best Hawker Food in Toa Payoh. I believe TP has the best in cheap and good local food. All within easy proximity.

Chase788, that pretty good, thanks!
Now someone with local knowledge should do a map for eats in the central area. Sometimes its difficult to figure out how far away places are and where they are relative to each outher from just an address or location.
based on your location at Boat Quay. I will recommend you to visit Maxwell Food Centre.
lifestylewiki.com/Maxwell_Road_Food_Centre
which you can reach by bus no 145,80 near boat quay.
reach within 10 min.
With great variety of tasty food! Try Tian Tian Chicken rice and Porridge!
Enjoy.Shawn

Like we have a saying ';No matter how far a good food place is, as long as U can find it on a map; all U need is a time to visit';
Singapore is such a small island, hard to go lost %26amp; left with no help.
Many tourists who visit will go to Newton Circus Food Centre but the prices have been jet up real high.
For cheap and good food, you can visit Chomp Chomp at Serangoon Gardens where most Singaporeans go for dinner and supper. Most of the stalls will be opened at night after 6pm. Do go early to get seats as the crowd starts swarming in after 7pm.
Popular food stalls: Sambal stingray and hokkien mee (well, it%26#39;s my favourite :P)
You can also visit Geylang for good food (not hawker centre). It is famous for frog leg porridge, beef hor fun and beancurd. However, be warned not to wander into the forbidden area (red light district).
