Hi guys! I will be arriving at Singapore with my 12 year old son at midnight of April 12. Check -in time for my hotel at orchard road is still at 2 pm. Can anyone please help me on accommodations near the airport where we could sleep and freshen up. We are on a budget so I am looking at affordable but clean hostels. Thank you.
Arriving Singapore at Midnight
Well, U can try this place:

it is about 3min walk to Little India MRT station, where in the morning, easier for U to move to Ur Orchard Road Hotel. So before U move the next day, U can check out Little India before U go back Hostel to collect Ur luggage to move.......Very convenient
Have a good time

Hello Msphils,
Welcome to Singapore. =)
You could just check into the Airport Hotel for a quick relieve. http://athmg.com/roomrates.htm
However, if you were to check into the airport hotel, when you awake in the morning you will be bored about what to do...
You could try Hotel 81 Bugis where you could explore the area a bit in the morning when you awake. =)

Others you can consider Royal at Newton, Summerview Hotel, Golden Landmark Hotel...
Hostel which is clean, good with less rowdy environement I would have hangout Hotel, Mount Emily, in mind... However, it is located up on a hill... so if you are travelling downwards in the morning it could be quite cumbersome.
Cheers,
Suying
thanks me*only and suying. actually my plan is to check-in a hostel near the airport and leave around 8 to go to orchard road, leave my luggage and go to Snow City. I will come back in the afternoon to check-in then go around the area.
ACtually it would be better if U head to a hostel in Town %26amp; which will be nearer to orchard.
But if U insist, u can try this Hostel about 20min away from Airport:

As Budget Terminal (If U coming with Tiger) is not connected to the Main Terminal, so the Transit Hotel would be out of Question for U.
i suggest u go with the suggestion to stay in town insteaad of going back to the airport then checking in at ur hotel in orchard.
there are many budget hotels as has been suggested by some TA members here
Why not just book into your hotel for the day you arrive, surely that would save a lot of messing about, any savings you may make, is hardly worth all the messing about, is it ? imho. Alan
