goodwood park hotel - accommodation and high tea

I usually stay at Rendezvous for $200 Sing per night but I am coming with my husband and thought something a bit more luxurious approx $375 incl bfast which is what Goodwood Park Hotel charges - is it worth it? Thought it would be nice to stay in old hotel rather than modern one where you may be in any city in the world - Goodwood Park ooks like the Singapore of yesteryear - what is high tea there like? Any idea of price

I love the hightea at both Goodwoodpark and Shangrila. A good variety and with quality. And both of them had just renovated their place not long ago. =) The price is around S$30++... cant remember the exact price.

The price of S$375 looks reasonable. Another hotel with colonial architecture would be The Fullerton Hotel located near the Boat/Clarke Quay area... where you would be nearer to the ';Early Days'; of Singapore.

Goodwood is a great hotel (they should update the WHOLE property but this is too big a place to do it all at once, they did do a good job updating the tower wing last year). The public areas also look good with the new additions.

Btw, how long will u be staying and will it be a weekend ? Coz I know that Goodwood offers a better package (with breakfast) during weekends. Otherwise, what u r paying is the norm for weekdays.
