Taxis and child seat

We were quoted a ridiculous price through our travel agent of about 拢120 for a taxi with a child car seat to take us from the airport to the Mandarin Oriental. Does anyone know of any taxi companies that will provide this service for a lower price. I can%26#39;t believe it is such an unusual request. The toddler is 16 months old.

A Space MPV - with child seat on request - for 16SGD plus metered fare. Beats the 拢120 you have got.

Thats one way by the way - and I%26#39;d recommend checking with them by email or phone to make sure of the current price.

Did you mean 拢120 or SGD120 because the second would be SMRT standard for a Chrysler 2 way airport charter.

I dont think any of the regular cabs carry car seats, and they would probably need to cary at least 2 different sized ones to fit children of all ages and a few more if there is more than 1 child. You can ofcourse bring one with you for use on holiday. Singapore airlines did not charge extra to carry it either in the hold or to fit on to the seat on the plane (assuing you are purchasing an extra seat for the child) when we did it. Then you can just take regular cabs everywhere, about 拢10 to your hotel from the airport.

Thanks for all the info. We didn%26#39;t really want to bring ours as only in singapore for 2 days and then off to phuket and we haven%26#39;t got a seat on the plane for her only a bassinet. It was 拢120 pounds we were quoted so looks like i will be able to get it cheaper. Thanks..
