Rainforest Lounge and Plaza Premium Lounge at Changi Airport

Can either of these be accessed from OUTSIDE the transit area, or are they only available for people in transit?

Access from airside only unfortunately.

Thanks for that, another problem solved!

You can definitely access the terminal 3 Plaza lounge from outside the transit area... I used it this month, was a pleasant experience.

Mankster%26#39;s right. Both these lounges can only be accessed in the Transit Mall. Rainforest Lounge: T 1; Plaza Premium Lounge: T 2.

This may have been right, but now there is definitely access OUTSIDE the transit area. I know this because I stayed there after a jetstar flight. You collect your bags clear immigration leave customs, then leave. Once you are in the public area you access the Plaza premium lounge, where you enter your room (with your bags). They wake you in time to again clear immigration and check back in for your next Jetstar flight. I don%26#39;t no if this is new but was DEFINITELY the case as of Jan 09. It was a godsend as we expected to have to wait 5 hours as Jetstar do not have transit arrangements. Check it out as it is well worth it.

Perhaps you used the ';Transit Hotel'; available in all 3 terminals? The people at the Transit Hotel are very good with waking up pax for their onward journeys. If you flew Jetstar, you could have arrived in T1 and if your onward flight was also on Jetstar, you would have departed from T1 too. From what I can see in the ';Explore'; guide (which I obtained a few days ago on my way back to KL on AirAsia in T1), I don%26#39;t remember seeing either the Rainforest Lounge or the Plaza Premium Lounge in the public areas (ie, either Departure or Arrival Halls).

No, you leave terminal catch the sky train and enter the plaza lounge in terminal three. Definitely not the transit hotel (which as far as I%26#39;m aware IS only available in transit). All you need to do is ask at information outside terminal one and they will happily give you directions. I have photos of myself and partner standing outside (with our luggage!!!). As I said this might be new but definitely available in Jan 09.

If you check the website you will see there is one in the arrivals hall (level one) terminal three.

When I first replied to this thread T3 wasn%26#39;t open. There is indeed now a branch with reduced fascilities that is accessible from the public areas in T3.

Aha. I now understand the confusion: You flew on Jetstar, arrived T1, then used the Skytrain to get to T3, then had to go back to T1 for your homeward flight. I couldn%26#39;t for the life of me figure out where you had your rest once you collected your bags but now it%26#39;s sorted.
