Breakfast options in Clarke Quay

I am wondering if there are places to get a standard breakfast (eggs, toast, juice, coffee), other than the hotels, which are a little pricey for me.

I know that ';the Central'; has a pretty good food court next door to the Swissotel Merchant Court hotel, but I don%26#39;t know if they have any breakfast offerings from 7-9AM.

At the Central:

(1) There is a Ya Kun Kaya Toast (#01-31)

(Kaya Toast = Local Egg Jam Toast with slap of Butter)

Egg = Soft boil egg

Either Local coffee or Tea

Website: http://www.yakun.com/

The above is something you should try.

Order the set, crack the egg on a saucer, add 2-3 dash of dark soya sauce %26amp; pepper, mix it up %26amp; gulp down ^__^, then enjoy ur toast with the hot coffee or tea. Yummmmmmmy. Should not cost U more than S$4.00 for the set.

(2) O%26#39;Brien%26#39;s (#01-59)

(3) Long John Silver%26#39;s (#01-30) %26amp; Burger King (#01-23)

Facing Main Eu Tong Seng Road)

Serve Fast Food style breakfast

Here%26#39;s the list to dining in the Central:

BTW, I know this is not breakfast, but has anyone tried the Tung Lok Signatures restaurant in the Central?

At Central, most would eat at Waraku,Pasta de Waraku, Sun with Moon Japanese Dining %26amp; Caf茅 (Good location facing River - Walk out from Corner of Subway),Ma Maison,Kyomomoyama %26amp; Marutama Ramen. Santoukais also a Ramen place But the soup is too salty for my liking; the noodle overcooked but the egg is delicious (throu U can request to be less salty).

This is at Liang Court, which is the Mall next Novotel Clarke Quay (Across the River from Swissotel merchant Court Hotel. In this Mall, lots of Little Japanese Restaurant %26amp; my favourite Japanese Sushi counter in the Supermarket.

Remember U got more option, with Just 1 station MRT ride away (Chinatown MRT Station) or a short walk (5min). In Chinatown, there are atleast 3 Food Centre for Ur selection; like: Hong Lim Food Centre (Just behind Chinatown Point), People Park Complex Food Centre (Infront of OG Departmental Store) %26amp; Smith Street Food Centre (Chinatown food Centre on Smith Street).

U can check this map for more details:
