Where to stay in Singapore for 3 nights

Hi,

My fiance %26amp; I arrive into Singapore at 7pm on 7th April %26amp; stay until 4pm on the 10th April when we leave to go to Koh Samui for our honeymoon. We are so busy planning our wedding that we haven%26#39;t even had any time to look into where to stay for these 3nights and how to make the most of the little time that we have in Singapore - if anyone has any recommendations on where to stay and what to see in this time it would be greatly appreciated :)

We don%26#39;t really want to spend any more than 170 SGD per night if possible.

If anyone has any advice/recommendations, please do reply.

Thanks,

R%26amp;E

I dug this out for you, hope it helps.

We always stay at the Albert Court in Little India, which I consider excellent value for money. It%26#39;s clean, well located, close to Bugis, and the MRT into the city. Alan

I was hoping the price offer for three nights would come through, but if you just go through the process, it%26#39;s offered at $420.00 (sing) which is well within your budjet. Alan.

Good Luck

PS. since u r going on a beach honeymoon after SIN, a city hotel like the brand new Ibis Bencoolen might just do the trick (save your $ for shopping and dining !)

Hi

Albert Court is in a great spot but be aware I do not think it has a pool if you were wanting to relax one day. There is lots to do in Singapore and you may not have time to relax. If I return I would be looking at three middle of the road Hotels that are consistant with good reviews over the years.

Pan Pacific

Fullerton Hotel

Swissotel Merchant Court

Enjoy Samui it%26#39;s a great spot.

Hi R%26amp;E,

Here is a link to a good Singapore online-guide (with hotel reccommendations, do-it-yourself city tours and good shopping and food guides...): www.metropolasia.com/index2.php…

Thank you so much everyone for your advice - it is greatly appreciated :)

I will have a look at the places you%26#39;ve all suggested tonight.

Have a great day,

R%26amp;E

Prices have come down recently, you can get a room at the Charlton for $160 and the Panpacific for $200. Some chains like Hilton/Conrad are doing half price rooms at the week end so you get a top end room for under $180.

I always stay at Rendezvous but it was getting a bit expensive booking through Agoda - booking direct with Hotel is $200 plus taxes which are about 17%

It has a pool and great locality as you can walk to Bugis St, Orchard Rd, and Marina Area

If you are flying Singapore Airlines you can get hop on and hop off bus for $6.00 great value and stops right outside Rendevous. It is a much more luxurious hotel and area than Albert Court. i sometimes upgrade room and this is REALLY nice especially cause it is your honeymoon.

Hi R%26amp;E,

I was doing a little surf through a few hotels for your dates and it seemed like the prices are now as low as the period now.

Possibilities are that there is an international event/conference in that period, or that the hotels are having a wait-and-see till the time arrives attitude, and then they will offer more attractive prices when nearer to date.

As of now the lowest rate offered by Pan Pac is S$230 for April 7th. Which is like about S$50 more than what I last checked last week.

It%26#39;s a pricing game... so it%26#39;s either you hold on to your booking and book the hotel in March in hope that prices will come down even lower for a 5 Star hotel, or you settle for a 3/4 star hotel which is recommended by the earlier posts to fit within your budget.

Cheers,

Suying

Sorry,

Correction: it seemed like the prices are NOT as low as the period now.
