I am not a big seafood eater-I just don%26#39;t like the taste but feel I should try chilli crab. I don%26#39;t want to go miles and miles away for something I%26#39;m might not even like so there is anywhere good for it in the usual central areas?
Thanks
Best chilli crab centrally located.
Go to Jumbo Seafood restaurant at Dempsey Hill ... cabbies will know. This place is a 5 min drive from Orchard Road.
Probably one of the best chilli crab, IMO.
Best chilli crab centrally located.
You might also want to try the Black Pepper Crab (personal favourite of mine) if you are going to Jumbo Seafood.
Another place you can go is the No Sign-Board Seafood Restaurant, located at the Esplanade, across the road from Suntec City, and within walking distance from the City Hall MRT Station via an underground air-conditioned pedestrian tunnel-mall.
i tried the chili crab at jumbo seafood at riverside. i didn%26#39;t expect it would be a bit sweetish? or it shouldn%26#39;t be? just curious how it should taste. :)
Singapore%26#39;s version of chilli crab is sweet and spicy. Malaysia%26#39;s spicer. I like both!
Singapore%26#39;s Chilli Crab is cooked differently by the different chefs... each with their own unique taste. There are some sweeter than others... some just plain hot. =)
In the Central Area you could consider No SignBoard at the Esplanade or at the Vivocity. Both accessible via MRT. esplanade.com/eat_drink_shop/…index.jsp
Or if you are into Fine Dining, you could try the Humble House by Tung Lok Group in the Esplande 2nd level too.
Cheers,
Suying
Our family had chilli crab at Jumbo%26#39;s at Clarke Quay, 1st time we all had it. Was surprised by the sweetish taste too, but still enjoyed the meal because it was so different to what we used to. Service was good over there too, had a nice table outside next to the river.
