Hi, sorry for what is probably a dumb question.
I have a 32-hour layover in Singapore on my way to Kathmandu. I plan to check my luggage through to KTM - so if I read the airport FAQ correctly, when I land in Singapore at 1:00 AM
1. Take my carry-on through customs %26amp; immigration
2. Go to my hotel, have a fun day in Singapore
3. Next morning, go to the Silk Air check-in desk, get my boarding pass, and then go through security to the boarding area. I don%26#39;t need to worry about my checked luggage.
Is this correct?
Layover in Singapore
Yes that is correct (assuming you are able to check your bags to your connecting flight at the point of origin). Anything over 24 hours layover is not considered a transit (airport tax must be paid on your ticket)so you may want to check in advance if you can check your bags all the way through.
Layover in Singapore
Thanks - my layover was originally supposed to be 8 hours only, but Silk Air ';rescheduled'; my Kathmandu flight for the same flight the next day.
