Hi everyone,

We are off to SIN this evening for a week at the Stamford.

Can anyone suggest a bar, pub where they playine 60%26#39;s-70%26#39;s music.(Beatles,Stones,Motown etc),ideally live, but taped is fine as well.

Music of the 60s - 70s club by beatles/stones sounds good! However, I%26#39;ve never came across any pubs/bars in sg having it... Perhaps because there aint any strong demand for it in Sg. Or I may be wrong?

There is a few live band in sg which do play some older songs but not all songs (usually a mixture), albeit not as old as the 60s-70s... You could try the Harris at the Esplanade, the live band in Sheraton Hotel, and one which i particularly like is the bossanova live band at Berlini at St James Power Station (located just opposite Vivocity).

Let%26#39;s hope someone else here in TA will give better info than me! I would also love to know which live band in Sg plays songs of the 60s-70s!

We are now back from our trip to your wonderful city and just wanted to let you know that we found a good venue by chance in the bar above the Long Bar at Raffles. The houseband play a mix of classic songs from 50%26#39;s to right now i.e. Elvis to Duffy.

They are great musicians and create an atmosphere to get people on the dancefloor.

Drinks are not cheap, but not excessive by Singapore standards.

Give it a try.

You need to go to Harrys at Orchard near the Orchard Hotel

The famous band Tania play there , the music will be right up your street .

A bit of stones , eric clapton , paul Simon etc

They have been playing in Singapore for the last 25 years
