Transit hotel /Ferry query

We land in Singapore late at night %26amp; will catch a ferry to Bintan early the next morning so thought about using the transit hotel until we realised it is before Immigration %26amp; luggage collection.

What happens to our bags if we don%26#39;t pick them up when we land? Do we just go through immigration when we get up in the morning?

Any advice welcome please. We are booked on the 8.10am ferry and understand we need to check in for the ferry 2hrs in advance.

Thanks very much

Sally

You will need go through immigration in the morning and collect your bags from the Lost and Found Desk near the luggage belts.

Sally, or your could clear immigration with your bags and stay at the new Crowne Plaza hotel attached to Terminal 3 (the skytrain thingie gets your there from T1 and T2 very easily). Then in the morning catch a taxi to the Tanah Merah ferry terminal - about 10 minutes on a really slow day.

Yes, they quote 2 hours for checkin. However with usual Singapore efficiency you%26#39;ll find that it will take you about 10 minutes - including finding your ferry company%26#39;s desk and picking up your tickets (if you hadn%26#39;t already). There%26#39;s not much else at the terminal to do. So I would say that 90 minutes ahead is more than enough.

Hi Sally,

It%26#39;s better to pick up ur bags for security concerns. Nowadays Sg is rather tight on security with regard to baggages.

And yes, the new Crowne Hotel looks lovely albeit more expensive than the Transit Hotel. Since it%26#39;s just for a night sleepover, I guess the Transit Hotel would be good enough. And as per suggested, 90 mins is sufficient for ferry check-in.

Cheers,

Suying
