scarlet hotel - 1st time travelling to singapore help please

Hi my husband and i are travelling to singapore in june and are looking for a hotel for 3 night for a maxof £120 per night. We%26#39;ve been looking at the scarlet but since we%26#39;ve never been we%26#39;re unsure if its situated right for seeing singapore, we%26#39;re not interested in shopping, just good food and seeing sights any help would be much appreciated. thanks

New Majestic Hotel is near Outram Park MRT (For the trip to attraction etc) and walk everywhere Chinatown, mins to harbourfront for U to go sentosa island %26amp; not to mention good food at both Chinatown Food Centre.

Look at the Novotel at Clark Quay, loads of restaurants close, MRT to Chinatown, Little India etc and a very nice reasonably priced hotel, has a pool where as the smaller hotels don%26#39;t. Good breakfast and fantastic views from the higher floors. If you have never been to Singapore before just remember nowhere is too far, taxis are cheap so you can really stay anywhere and still get around easily, go for the hotel rather than location.
