Myself, husband and 16 month old baby are stopping over for a few nights in singapore before heading to phuket. In terms of room sizes and location which is the best hotel..we will probably not be getting a suite..if anyone knows of any good hotels that have quite large rooms then would be great to hear about them also
mandarin oriental or shangri-la
Rooms sizes for stad roooms are pretty much the same between the two. Mandarin is better located, covered walk to shopping/MRT etc.
Ritz Carlton has the largest standard rooms. The sleeping /living areas are are nearly twice the size of the ones at either the Shang or Mandarin.
mandarin oriental or shangri-la
thanks - is the ritz carlton in as good a location as Mandarin Oriental?
Yes, its just opposite the Mandarin.
I think Ritz Carlton will cost a little bit morev being a 6 star hotel. check it out.. I might be wrong.
Shang has 3 different wings that offer different price range, in terms of price, the Valley wing of the Shang is costlier than the Ritz.
Ritz definitely has large rooms. The other one you should consider is the 4 Seasons or the Conrad (room size, quality, facilities and service for families).
Good Luck
