Hi! my husband and i are visiting Singapore for the first time together without kids on Feb 12--15 for Valentines celebration. We are deciding between Orchard Hotel, Novotel or Swissotel Merchant Court.

Other hotels with packages you could consider:

Sentosa Resort and Spa, Ritz Carlton, The Fullerton Hotel. It%26#39;s posted in their hotel website promotions.

Of the hotels you have mentioned, the 2 by the river i.e Novotel and MC would be my preference.

IF you want a modern hotel - then the novotel. IF you want more traditional, then MC. Both are practically opposite each other .

Neither are particularly luxurious though. IF your budget can stretch, try one of the others already mentioned. My personal favourite is the Mandarin Oriental. I%26#39;ve stayed at the Fullerton several times and have been given very dark rooms on occassions.

I stayed at the Sentosa Resort %26amp; Spa in September ( F1 Grand Prix). It is a really good option for Valentines. The Merchant Court ( stayed here again in early January)is an old favorite that I enjoy because its pitched in the middle of Clarke Quay, for restaurants and bars, next to Chinatown and handy to a MRT. The rooms are spartan though and not a place for Valentines.
