I was just reading a very positive review on the Swissotel Stamford from Trip Advisor, and I was amazed at the price paid for 2 medium size beers in the lobby there:
25(GBP) or $17.70 USD per beer
To my way of thinking, rather than being a source of income for the hotel, it is more of a source of aggravation, at a minimum for the hotel guest.
I know the standard argument is that hotels have higher overhead and need to charge that kind of price, but I think this is somewhat over the line (so to speak).
So, I suppose the moral is: Enjoy Singapore, just don%26#39;t buy your drinks in the hotels. :)
hotel drink prices...
Your last sentence already speak the truth ^__^
';So, I suppose the moral is: Enjoy Singapore, just don%26#39;t buy your drinks in the hotels.';
Unless, one feels that there is a need to atleast give Singapore Sling a shot at Long bar, Raffles hotel. (Too much to pay for a cocktail that have more of Pineapple Juice with a few mix dash of liquer.
With that amt spend at the Hotel for a beer, one could have got a few can of beer at the basement supermarket (market Place) ^__^. Oh, unless that beer is under the company Tap ^__* (So who cares about can beer).
Have a good time
hotel drink prices...This is why we usually upgrade to club floor benefits because this includes a couple of hours of drinks which saves you a fortune. Beer is much cheaper at hawker centres and food courts. The cheapest bottle of wine we found in a hotel was around 拢30.00 that was a year ago so will be a third more expensive for us this year.
