Some idea above.
One of my favourite would be the King prawn laksa from Prima Taste Kitchen (No Cockles).
Some might say Katong Laksa is good but IMO, they are too sweet (Cos they used evaporate Milk %26amp; not coconut Milk).
The 2 branch of prima Taste Kitchen are as follow:
Prima Taste Kitchen
176 Orchard Road
#01-63/64 The Centrepoint
Singapore 238843
Tel: 65 6887 3786
Prima Taste Kitchen
65 Airport Boulevard
Departure/Transit Lounge North
Mezzanine Level unit No. #03-K2
Changi Airport Terminal 3
Singapore 819663
Tel: 65 6242 8508
The other favourite of mine %26amp; which is at Marina Square (Mall connected to Marina Mandarin, Pan Pacific, Conrad %26amp; Ritz) %26amp; it is call Qiji (This laksa come with cockles):
http://www.qiji.com.sg/
Address:
6 Raffles Boulevard
#01-06 Marina Square
Beside laksa, they are famous for Popiah (Singapore delicious snack):

(2) Temple?
First on the list would be:

Next on the List, you might want to try the touristic:
Buddha Tooth Relic temple Museum
http://www.btrts.org.sg/
A blog on temple %26amp; which you can ';visit'; more Temple than U can ^__^:
http://chinesetemples.blogspot.com/
(3) Take a taxi, even if it is peak, it won%26#39;t cost you more than S$28 (even if there is any Jam %26amp; fare also include any surcharge). Unless, U feeling generous, U can take the prebooked car.
(Remember when there is Traffic jam, even prebooked car get struck in the same Jam - Unless it could fly ^__^).
(4) Dim Sum? Yummmmy
My favourite are as follow:
Victor%26#39;s Kitchen

#01-21 (98382851) Open from 10.30am to 8pm
Closed on Mondays
Shang Palace @ Shangri-La Hotel
Swee Choon locate along Jalan Besar
If I feel like having takeaway, i would go buy my bao, Siew Mai, Har Kow, Lo Mai Kai etc at Teck Kee Bao: http://www.teckkeepau.com/
They have a counter at Suntec City (just outside Carrefour - at the food outlet on the far corner right)
3 Temasek Boulavard, Suntec City Mall Tower 3

Thank you for a great response! Some fantastic suggestions.
The challenge is going to be recognizing the names of the Dim Sum - they are called different things over in the UK!
I do like the Char Siuw Pau, but the other thing i really like are Cheung Fun, which i think are rice flour rolls?
Thanks again for your help Me^Only.
Yes, Cheung Fun is rice Roll, whereelse Zha Leong is Dough fritter roll Rice roll (Cheung Fun).....Victor;s kitchen have a good one.....
Another good place to get detailed recommendations for specific food and stalls that I use is the Makansutra website.
